WHAT THEY'LL OFFER:

Our three illustrious authors will provide critiques on the entries. Each entrant in the auction will receive at least one author critique. They're all fabulous, so it hardly matters which!

THE EDITOR:

WHAT SHE'LL OFFER:

Ms. Whitman will provide--wait for it!--a critique for each entry in the auction. She's an amazing editor, so this is an automatic "win" for each of our participants.

  7. This is an amazing opportunity, Authoress, and thank you!

Here's my question: what if you currently have material out with one or more of these agents? Am I disqualified? :(

  12. Anon -- That's your call. Whatever you're most comfortable with!

McGurkus -- Thanks! And no, I haven't. The blog's focus is fiction, so that's what I'm sticking with. :)

  13. This is all so fabulous. Good luck to everyone who enters this! :)

I've had trouble even getting into the logline crit sessions - so I'm going to attempt submitting both rounds (even if it means getting up at three in the morning!)

  19. As I see it, there is the potential of opportunity or of great humiliation in this contest.

This is kind of like being the last one picked for the team in gym class.

  20. Ha ha to Huntress's comment! I had the same thought. But a great contest, nonetheless. Question - do you and Jodi recognize New Adult as a legitimate subgenre of YA? (Or would it be a subgenre of Adult....or just not included in this contest?) Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  21. thanks so much, this rocks! So can we submit something for the adult day AND something different for the YA day? I have two ready manuscripts?

  22. Anon -- If it's not on the list, it's not included in the contest, regardless of whether or not Jodi and I think it's legit. ;) To my knowledge, there are no agents currently accepting New Adult. That will change eventually.

Theresa -- One submission per person. Better choose! ;)
