It's just so DIFFERENT having someone else suddenly making most of the executive decisions.

But really, the best part is what you said: being able to focus on simply writing. That's what I wanted. If I wanted to do all the executive crap, I wouldn't have busted my butt to get an agent.

I do like being involved in the process to some degree, but it's definitely going to take some discipline to pry my fingers from the reins and let my agent do what she's awesome at without needlessly obsessing.

It is indeed a paradigm shift, but a welcome one.Leah Raederhttp://www.leahraeder.com/wordsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3615675676021392217.post-10006199900195499672011-07-21T12:24:07.492-04:002011-07-21T12:24:07.492-04:00I don't have an agent, but I'm in the midd...I don't have an agent, but I'm in the middle of writing through discouragement right now. Actually, it was the discouragement that really pushed me to get my act together and start writing in earnest again, so I guess that's a good thing. We try so hard to get to the "finish line" we sometimes forget the whole dynamic of writing changes once we cross that threshold.Heather Zundelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16621649337908358313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3615675676021392217.post-38275321814947889312011-07-21T11:52:03.430-04:002011-07-21T11:52:03.430-04:00Oh, AA, and then there are subs, which are complet...Oh, AA, and then there are subs, which are completely out of your control.
