Time For Another MSFV SUCCESS STORY!!

Fresh from my inbox, with permission from the author, Steve Cordero:

Dear Authoress:

I'm a long time reader of your blog and I finally built up the courage to enter one of your contests, the May 2011 Secret Agent contest to be precise. I was entry No. 17 (DRACAURUM). While I didn't win, the comments were very helpful and the SA (Chris Richman) was quite complimentary of my entry, which gave me a much needed boost of confidence.

Thereafter, I started querying that MS and ended up signing with John Rudolph of Dystel and Goderich Literary Management last week.

So thank you for your blog and running such a contest. I'm so glad I entered.

Let's all say it together:  CONGRATULATIONS, STEVE!

Steve's interview on Query Tracker is HERE.

Yeah, so I had been doing this for 8 years, but a month and a week after your contest I get an agent. Crazy world. -- Steve Cordero

  11. Congratulations Steve! That's great news, and a good message to people that just because you don't win, doesn't mean you aren't getting a lot out of these contests.
