Miss Snark's First Victim
Sounds like chick lit, another genre that's not my forte, but I think the hook is interesting and I would at least read more.
Love this! Funny.
How fun - I like it. I'd keep reading.
OMG that's FUNNY!I would so read on.:) Terri
I laughed out loud. I want more!
I would read on. I like the voice and am interested in both characters already.
Absolutely!!!I would read on.
Not my thing, but I like this. Nice hook. :]
Love! It feels fresh. I like chick-lit in small doses of non-clichéd text, but this one gives me a good feeling.
Fun and hooking. The first sentence is a little too long. I'd prefer a few words cut, like:"My first date in 16 years and my ex was busy passing a kidney stone."
Not my genre. Sounds fine though.
Awww, snap. I like it and want to keep reading, even though it's not my genre.
This IS my genre and I like this. I might take out the 'across town' part though... who cares where the rotten scoundrel is now? :)
Chick Lit is not my choice, ever--but what a great voice.
Very fun and engaging. (and such divine justice indeed LOL)
Ha! Not my genre, so I wouldn't read on. But that is a great opener.
LOL! I'd have to read on. The POV character already has my attention. :-)
Love it! I'd keep reading.
oh very funny! I'd read on just to see this characters take on things.
Not sure I'm hooked. It feels like there's two POVs going on here, or at least an omniscient POV, but neither serve to really draw me in.
Lovely humour. Would definitely read more.
HAHAHA! I love it. The wry humor is great. I would keep reading. As long as the narrator doesn’t turn completely vindictive and bitchy, I’d be fine. Very nice.
I like this. It's funny.
Too funny! My favorite entry.
I don't read chick lit, but this seems on target for that genre. Nice job.
This sounds familiar.
Ha! Love the voice, very funny. I agree that you could do without the ex's whereabouts.
LOL -- I'd read on.
