I bought the book when I first found the website -- it is great! I recommend it to any aspiring writer who is just starting out on the find-an-agent path, and any others as a great resource.
Hilarious! I still do not need an agent or Agent Demystified (yet) but I loved the trailer… and when the time comes, I will be back for the book – then the agent!
Thanks for the critique, anon! I had actually hoped it would run under 2 min. Of course, mine wasn't the final word. But I will pass your input along to the "big guy." =)
Loved the trailer. As for the lingering shots - hey, that sort of thing worked just fine for Sergio Leone. Not everything has to be subjected to Empty-Vee style rapid-fire editing. ;)
I would be VERY nice to Mr. A, he totally deserves it! ;) This is great!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteAnd cashews too!
This was very funny to watch. Brilliant! Contemplating buying it (yes, I'm one of those who haven't yet).
ReplyDeleteVery funny, Authoress. I loved the "instant fail" bit.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Especially the part where the writer adds a picture and chocolate to her submission, lol.
ReplyDeleteReally, really makes me want to buy the book. Mr. Authoress did an awesome job. Seriously. That trailer rocks.
I'll be sure to repost the vid!
Great trailer for a GREAT and molto helpful book!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Mr. and Ms. A--kudos and cashews all around!
Mr. A rocks!
ReplyDeleteCrazy looking woman throwing a penguin in box with a photo was a nice touch. I like how the manuscripts said "full" and "partial" on them.
ReplyDeleteNice trailer!

ReplyDeleteCongrats!
The trailer sold me. My hat's off to Mr. A. Excellent job.
ReplyDeleteGreat trailer :D
ReplyDeleteLoved the instant fail bit!
Great job Mr. A! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I still do not need an agent or Agent Demystified (yet) but I loved the trailer… and when the time comes, I will be back for the book – then the agent!
ReplyDeleteD'oh! Cashews! Geez, and here I thought a single malt was the key.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Great trailer!
Nice, nice, nice!
ReplyDeleteFabulous...and it worked.
ReplyDeleteI bought the ebook!
funny! also i nominated you for lovely blog award (for doing secret agent contests) today on my blog - prob not as pretigious as writers digest :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! :-)
ReplyDeleteNicely done.
ReplyDeleteI think, though that it would benefit from a little trimming here and there to pick up the pace. It lingers just a hair too long on each image.

ReplyDeleteAwesome Trailor!!! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all for the kind words. It was easy to put this together for my dear Authoress. I feel like I understand authors and agents now.
ReplyDeleteI am sure I do not.
:-)

ReplyDeleteVery funny, Authoress! I enjoyed the goose and candy box.
ReplyDeleteTotally enjoyed that!
ReplyDeleteLovely job!
ReplyDeleteEr... might I ask why this is dated May 12th 2010?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, it was great!
Loved it, but Authoress should have been in it a second longer.
