Since I haven't received any notification--either rejection or acceptance--, and it seems from these posts that most people already know, should I assume that my entry did not go thru and I need to try again tonight? thanks, rose
Yes, all entries receive an automated response, whether accepted or rejected. Check your spam folder first, as it might be in there. If you can't find anything, it may not have gone through. Though, if it bounced, I'm not sure why you wouldn't have received notification of that...
I have a question: 1) If 250 words does not end at a period, can I send the few extra words where it does? And 2) is round two open as we speak, or is it round one these lovely ladies are referring to?

The word limit is set at 255 to allow for finishing at a period (ALWAYS finish at a period!!). If that's not enough, you will have to cut back to the second-last sentence.
I had to resend my entry (#17)--your bot thought I hadn't put in my screen name, title, and genre--and when I checked the new email the formatting of my paragraphs seemed to be missing. If it's a mess on your end please let me know and I will gladly send a properly formatted version.
