10TH BIRTHDAY BLOGPITCH #18: MG Fantasy

TITLE: THE SILVER WOODS
GENRE: MG Fantasy

Isla had no idea the bedtime stories her grandfather told held the key to a lifelong family mystery. As she follows him into The Silver Woods, her world is turned upside down when she discovers the mystical forest and impossible creatures from his stories turn out to be real. No one has ever returned from the woods, and the secrets hidden within the trees are even bigger than her grandfather’s stories. BIG FISH for MG.

  1. Love the concept but what's at risk for her? What turns her world upside down/what compels her to go into the woods?

  6. I think we need more information about her goal here--is it to get back home? Why does she follow him in the first place? And how does he know about these secrets if no one has every returned from the woods?

    Good luck!
