I like your idea, but I'm groaning inwardly. I've just had enough of vampires, that's all. The Twilight series did me in. HOWEVER, if your story is better than those, I'd keep reading. From you first two lines, it already sounds like I'd like it better. You've got a good, strong voice and interesting twist with the fairies and vampires. But please, like peachie_keen inmplies, I hope they're not TinkerBell fairies.
I kinda love this. It’s short and to the point, but tells a wealth of knowledge about the world we’re in, the genre, the plot, and the main character. I would absolutely read more.
Fantasy is so not my thing (especially the current onslaught of vamps), but I love this. A vamp killing fairies? LOL! I probably wouldn't read the genre but you have a good opening here.
Sounds like my kind of vampire :o) I'd keep reading.

ReplyDeleteI like it. I like the straightforwardness of the POV character, and I like the ...re-definition? focus on a new aspect? of vampiry.
Oh lord. Now not even the fairies are safe from vampires? What is the world coming to? Those evil fanged heathens Must. Be. Stopped. ;-)
