The question is, are you ready?

I'm so excited! Will be purchasing within the next few days....
ReplyDeleteThanks, Authoress! You're fantastic.
*blush* You're not so bad yourself. I'm glad you found your way here!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Authoress!
ReplyDeleteIs it useful for someone outside the US/UK? If there's a lot about going to conferences etc., it won't help me much.
Thank you, Luc. :)
ReplyDeleteConferences aren't my cup of tea!
The book focuses on attitude and approach; it's not a "how to land an agent in 30 short days" book. Now THAT would be something to learn, eh?
Grabbed it and reading it now. Thanks for the awesome read. Hope it will help out in my search for an agent, heh.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Drunken. :) I hope so, too. No, I KNOW so!
ReplyDeleteI can't recommend this enough! I found myself blushing at some of the mistakes that I have made in the past (thanks for setting me straight, I'll try not to "shadow" certain agents...ahem) and realizing how right you are about NOT trying to find agents using that "creative writer" side, but using plain old business sense.
ReplyDeleteIf you guys haven't gotten your copy yet, what are you waiting for? Whether you are querying yet, or just starting your first novel, this is easy to understand, entertaining (as Authoress always is), and should clear up so many misconceptions about agents and the whole process.
Thanks so much Authoress!
:) Terri
I think it would be nice to know the price, page count and maybe a snippet of a sample chapter to help others make up their mind if it is worth buying. Still, thanks for going to the trouble publishing it.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog today and saw your hot ebook.
ReplyDeleteI just finished my first book which is a humourous memoir. Would your book help even though I am not marketing a novel? Thanks again for the great information on your site.
Hey stunned (love your screen name),
ReplyDeleteIf you are planning on seeking an agent to represent your memoir, then yes, my book will be helpful. If you're not planning to seek representation by an agent, then my book isn't going to speak to you.
That's the long and short of it! :) Welcome to the blog.
Decided to start over after throwing my manuscript in a drawer months ago. My "recovered" inspiration was finding this blog...and then ordering the book. Yes,this was what I needed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat's AWESOME, Miranda -- thanks for letting me know! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm halfway through your ebook, which has been eye-opening. I cringe when I read the not to's that I'd already done. Sharing your horror story teaches other readers what to watch out for. I'm trying to share your perspective on how to view agents and how to see it as a business.
ReplyDeleteTheresa -- that's awesome! I'm so glad to know that my book is speaking to you. Once you make that shift in your perspective, you'll feel much more confident!
ReplyDeleteMay I quote you on my sales page?
Yes, of course.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Congrats. You put a lot of hard work into your blog and into paying attention to us.
ReplyDeleteGoin' to buy your book....
Yes...I'm going to pick this up next week.
ReplyDeleteHi Authoress, what format(s) is your e-book?
ReplyDeleteHi, Laurel-- it's a PDF file.
