Submission Reminder

Good morning!

Just a reminder that the two submission windows for this week's Secret Agent round open at:

  • NOON EDT (first 25 entries)
  • 7:00 PM EDT (second 25 entries and 2 alternates)
I won't be posting the opens and closes for 2 reasons.  First, because they often fill up so fast I miss them.  Second, because I don't want you to rely on seeing the post show up.  Sometimes there's a lag, and if you wait, you'll miss your opportunity.  Use a reliable online clock.

    Hey Authoress,

    I submitted once, but did not get a message that my entry was accepted. Thus, I submitted again. This time, I got a message that I was accepted (number 16). A few minutes later I got a message that my entry was rejected because I can only have one entry. I'm going crazy here: am I in the contest?

    Your first entry was accepted. You didn't give gmail a chance to send your response. :)

    Oh no. I sent mine via hotmail at 9:01 PST, rather than my gmail. Will that make a difference? I haven't received confirmation.

    Demetra --

    Yours was rejected for bad word count. Hotmail's automatic signature line adds characters and apparently you can't remove them. I would STRONGLY suggest you try again and NOT USE Hotmail!

    The first round filled up really fast. I sent mine with gmail 1 min past noon and my entry is in the high tens. As always, thanks for doing this authoress.

    I sent mine right after noon (like seconds after) and I didn't get in. I hand typed everything, so I guess I'll just try again at 7 :)

    Arggh! I submitted right at 7:00 EDT but my sub was rejected because I idiotically wrote

    SCREEN SCREEN:

    instead of

    SCREEN NAME:

    :(

    I went to the end of my sentence instead of stopping in the middle and it kicked mine out for having too many words. Do I take that sentence out completely?
