TITLE: The Death of Flowers
GENRE: YA Dark Fantasy
Revolutions and deposed royalty mean nothing to Toma, a seventeen-year-old orphan who is more concerned with hunting, farming, and sewing her adoptive family's severed limbs back onto their decaying bodies. That is, until she saves a dethroned tsar from a crashed airship and is dragged into a civil war between magic-endowed tsarists and the superstitious proletariat.
SHADOW AND BONE meets GIRLS MADE OF SNOW AND GLASS, in a world filled with creatures from Slavic mythology, Russian fairytales, and Yiddish folklore.

Hooked! No critiques, just want to read more. :)
ReplyDeleteI would prefer to see more agency in your pitch (especially when dealing with a female protagonist). Your character is literally dragged into a plot. She should choose to enter the challenge with the aim of achieving the goal.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
