  2. Mirror mirror on the wall.

I'm not sure. I might read further.

  3. Partial hook. I'd read on to find out how self-absorbed the MC was and whether she learned her lesson, but she has a strong, solid voice and I'd want to see what else she had to say.

  6. The character turns me off. It'd depend on whether or not anything else had grabbed my attention.

  9. I love the character already. Despite the conceit, which normally bugs me to no end. :)

  10. Too narcisstic for my tastes.

  13. The title's actually the name of a country, Keren--but yeah, that's never my strong point. (grin)

  15. Definitely hooked by this. Want to know how the character's vanity and certainty is going to mesh with the plot.

  16. I can't tell if the MC is being serious or facetious. I'd read more just to figure out which it is.

word verify = crize or crazy?

  18. haha! She sounds so full of herself! I would read it, but hope that the entire book isn't this way (i.e. character growth). But I am definitely hooked.

  19. Good voice but I wouldn't read more because the character makes me want to puke. I have to like what's at the begining to want to read more.

  20. Almost hooked--but it would depend a lot on what comes next and if you could make the narrator interesting and sympathetic enough to engage me.

  21. Cute hook.

I'd hope that she doesn't stay like this though.

  22. I'm not a fan of your character, though the mention of being friends with the mirror intrigued me. Because this is fantasy, I'm wondering if she means they are literally friends.
